FATHERS DAY

‘Learning to change the diapers makes us a better father than buying expensive toys.’

Every dutiful father is like an eagle…. Deuteronomy 32:11 As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:

First let me begin by wishing our father ‘a happy fathers day’. [am included] but it does not end there for how we seen by our children and wards and even mothers should matter deemed to us. In life sometimes we let others give an opinion about ourselves, then we know we do not have a false one about ourselves.

There is no doubt in my mind that I want to be seen or referred to as a super dad, but wait a minute, not just a super dad by my kids, but by all who have visited my abode and noticed how i carry on and sweat it out with the little blighters. You can only imagin the hissing and the wincing when this celebration comes up and those beautiful kids who felt their fathers are not fit to be called that name. Yes, many children look away when talk about this subject but why is that? Let us take the bible as a case study for therein is the first father mentioned. Do you think he succeeded as a role model? personally, I believe our core character is formed at home and our parents gives us the first of what to expect, how to react and how to think properly and most of all relate to God. let us therefore, say few things here that will improve our role as a father as we take time off to celebrate this in the church or elsewhere. There are eight things i want us to consider in this class.

1 As fathers, we ought to show and led the direction the family will go. for example, which God to worship. A man once said ‘ as for me and my household we will serve the lord. This kind of assertion shows the man is in control of his house. When it comes to the god to serve the man should decide for the family With God or gods comes unique spirits. The one you allow will manifest in the lives of all in the members of that family.

2 As fathers we ought to possess the uncanny ability to be a moral team leader that will make the children to stand out as a personality with high moral values . Weaving this moral leadership in the family will go along way to keep them within the bounds of any existing laws in the land., while growing their distinctive role and talents.

3 As fathers we must know our role as the priest of the home, the spiritual head of this household. we must lead in prayers, worship and reading of the scriptures when necessary. We show first forgiveness before we teach forgiveness, we must for help others before we teach others to help. Being an example of what we teach makes it easy for children and wards to follow suit.

4 As fathers we ought o be able to read and understand our children and wards behavioural patterns and offer praise when needed, and not spare the rod when it is required, too.

5 Mothers are prune to be emotionally attached to them while men instil the needed discipline, guidance, and traits so they will face squarely the challenges of life without whimpering.

6 the bible places the responsibilities of children’s upbringing on the father, see Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

7 Our children must not always be left to make their own decision without our guidance. They are too immature to take such a step. Children left on their own more than often brings shame and embarrassment to the entire family. See 1 Samuel 4:17-18 And the messenger answered and said, Israel is fled before the Philistines, and there hath been also a great slaughter among the people, and thy two sons also, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead, and the ark of God is taken. And it came to pass, when he made mention of the ark of God, that he fell from off the seat backward by the side of the gate, and his neck brake, and he died: for he was an old man, and heavy. And he had judged Israel for forty years. The dead of the father was hasten by the immoral and ungodly attitude of the children.

8 Read Proverbs 29:15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame. When I was a kid, I remember reading the newspapers like i often do after my father had done with them that a presidential aspirant in my country had been compelled to call it quite with his presidential bids because his son was arrested with drugs in another country. Most of the populace thought the man would have made a difference in the country, but his lack in the family put paid to that .

HAPPY FATHERS DAY

GOD’S YARDSTICK FOR PROSPERITY

COME TO AND LET US MAKE US A NAME.

There is nothing wrong when we dream of a goal, a vision and are desirous of success. There is nothing wrong with having an aspiration for God said: Occupy till i come. meaning keep yourself busy, innovate, improve and contribute positively and constructively to the world you live in. Indolence is not part of the creator’s goal in our lives. Luke 19:13 and he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. I am a firm believer that one born of a woman can contribute one way or the other to this world before his or her demise. As a Christian and a believer, one of the first duty of man when he comes of age is to earnestly asked his creator the purpose of his being here on earth; where he fits in, what he must do and make it better for himself and other after him; this may be a big contribution or a small one. When we cannot ask these questions and pursue answers we become rudderless drifting wherever circumstance desires for us. The book of proverbs29:18 says, Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

God is never against goals or plans we make for ourselves, nor is he against our ambition. The bible says in the book of Philippians 4:8, ” Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of excellent report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.’ From this passage we can see that it is the motive and intention that is high weight before God as we go for any goal. Our desires to achieve, or to do anything, must be born out of love, selflessness and devoid of envy, jealousy or the spirit of competition or the desire to outdo another person. Most times our motive for doing anything is sinister, impure and question before God. Our project or engagement becomes impure if it spur us into action because we think we can do it better than the other person, we want to get the accolades and we desire to take what we perceive as a ‘shine’ from the other person. When we have ulterior motives attach to our works to get a founding from the government or an organization. The lord has no hands in such a project, even though it appears laudable in the eyes of the beholder.

In the book of Genesis 11:4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. Verse 4 of this passage underscore very well their motive to build a laudable project which was not inline with the will of God for them. It looks right and appears to be a wonderful plan, but it was a blatant disobedience to what God says. For one, they want to remain where they are, become great without the hand of God lifting them to that honor.and secondly they want to make a name for themselves: a vision and a plan without putting God. Here was the first challenge of man to God’s sovereignty and a defiance of God’s command to spread. Like God sometimes do in our lives he gave them time, peradventure, they will remember that it is his purpose for man to spread instead of remain in one location. Success makes us forget about God and remove him out of the equation in our lives. we are too occupied like the corporate world, too busy like the commerce to acknowledge the giver of life. Luke 12:18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.

Luke 12:19-20 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? Obviously the man has no room for God and do not see how God fits into his plan. To us as Christians there is no prosperity if we do not use God’s own yardstick to measure our prosperity. Just like God,-Elohim visited the people building the tower and gave his final verdict, so he gave his final verdict to this so called prosperous man. How should you measure success or prosperity in the light of Gods word? The people building the tower had their measure and so too had the rich man, but both were wrong before God. We must learn as Christians to use God’s measurement; then greed, covetousness, strife, ill wish, jealousy and envy will become a thing of the past. We must learn to renew our minds with the word of God now that we are Christian. We support others, not strive we love others not hate, we welcome others not despise and correct others not condemn.

WE SHALL FINISH WELL

We are now in the second ember month. Many believes in the months of September, October, November and December are trying months and these months the devil double his effort to steal, destroy and kill. John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. So far, many men have gone beyond. many also prepared to be with the lord and many sadly, could not do this. Many were also led to accept and confess christ as their personal lord and saviour.Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. they saw death gradually approaching to take them along and they also saw the grace of God through christ beckoning to them. The best offer a christian can do for a dying relative not yet saved is to quickly go and present this wonderful grace to the dying once again.

In these few weeks of in October, let us cast our mind back to the month of March,April; It was faith we had to hold on to. No one was sure of anything. The virus was still without solution. But we had faith, and the world had faith. Today, that faith has not let us down. Here is revisiting a post I made during that time of lunching out.

It is heartwarming to know that churches may open their doors to parishioners once again. We are in the middle of the year June and I dare say how significant that is. All things working together for good, we still have time to recover, renew and recapture faded visions and goals because of the pandemic and the consequent lockdown. June is, therefore, not just another month, but the middle of a journey embarked on in January 2020: you got to decide now whether to see the glass as half full or half empty but continue despite all that happened or stay with the past months and gradually pine away with it. [This rain fell on us all]

We all do not have the same baggage in this journey some rely on others, some on their sheer strength others on their connection in the business still, too there are those who rely on their faith in God to reach the finishing line that as we took our journey to hit the mark of our destination sooner had we began than it all came crashing down for most people with the exceptions of a few. A virus, COVID-19 stealthily, came calling like a thief in the night with sorrow and death as its message. This thief that came out of a town in Wuhan, china spread its tentacles like a venomous octopus all over the world, daring us to come out. We did and death we saw. It plunged the entire world into a panic state, but ironically made us realise that no matter our country, our color or race we are in this together and COVID-19 do not make a distinction when it comes calling. Government shutdown was the order of the day and all we heard was,” stay indoors”,. with few exceptions, like shopping or a healthcare giver. Those who went for shopping came back wondering if they have unwittingly brought home the unwanted visitor with them: they used hand sanitizers with soap at each return from the beat. As the virus took its toll on man, the medical word was firing on all cylinders to find a cure, with few looking to God for a cure. The government rebuked many houses of faith for disobeying the lockdown orders and they arrested many pastors.

But come the month of June the roll back began ‘ we can not stay inside and expect the economy to grow’. As we gradually return from the lockdown to meet again as believers, many may have stories to tell. As the church open it doors, it behooves us as believers to follow necessary health protocols as spelt out: ushers are to have with we should still observe them hand sanitizers in the hall. Sadly enough, some may have left us to be with the lord during this pandemic, some may remain at home for now because of underlying health issues. It has affected us all one way or the other by the pandemic. Whether we took ill like the biblical Trophimus or have lost a loved one like Mary and Martha., it is nothing new see [2 Timothy 4:20 Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick].The pleasant news is that there is hope for all who are in christ Jesus one that is not pin on things temporal one that is so strong that we are not moved by the things we see or the circumstance by we are moved by the word of God which abides forever. Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. The victory given to humanity goes far beyond what we see in this present dispensation.1 Corinthians 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. we live in obedience to our saviour and total submit to his will for our individual’s life. Those who died in this pandemic know that they are going to ripe the full benefits of being with the lord the bible says to die is gain and to live is christ. In order words, we live to please him in all things.

There is life after this pandemic. We shall use our wounds and our pain to build our faith and our resolve to keep our heads high. This is the will of the father unto his children. We shall overcome whatever this pandemic has in store for us.

As the world gradually reopens, as the churches reopens, we shall go out of our way to proclaim the news: 2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

The world has reopened yet. There is no vaccine, but we believe we shall make it through. That is FAITH.

NO LONGER A BELEIVER?

Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Jon Steingard, the lead vocalist of the Canadian christian band, recently threw a bombshell, or so he thought when he came on his Instagram page and declares: ‘I have agonize whether to say this publicly and if so, how to do it, but I now felt that it is less important how i do it and more important that I do it’.

He continued,’ after growing up in a christian home being a pastor’s kid, playing and singing in a christian band, and having the word CHRISTIAN in most of the things i do in front of my life- I now finding that i no longer believe in God.’

One can only imagine this news and the impact it will have on those who see him as a poster boy for the christian youth, but this news should not come as a surprise. For one, we are not born as Christians; we are born again as Christians

Experience has taught us today that we can only lead our children and wards to christ via upbringing in sound christian doctrines, but making them surrender their lives to God is their own sole responsibility. A Jewish leader in the person of Nicodemus had an encounter with christ and was told this revealing fact. It requires a personal knowledge of God, not a theoretical one nor being involved in christian activities. The disciples of christ never knew this, though they were with christ. Not until the day of Pentecost. The reason apostle paul did a lot of exploits for God was because he encounters the power of christ on the road to Damascus it was this spiritual encounter that made him an instant power house for God. yet, paul despite all he underwent, the miracles he did through the name of christ still had to say ‘that I may know him‘. This quest is a thirst for a supernatural and an experiential encounter with Jesus christ [phillipians3:10] Let us get some facts clear:

we are not Christians because we are born into a christian home

we are not Christians because we are part and parcel in church activities as a youth

we are not Christians because we sing in the christian .

we are not Christians because we are the best in the debating team

We are no Christian because our father is the bishop or founder of a ministry

Read this: 1 Samuel 2:22 Now Eli was old and heard all that his sons did unto all Israel; and how they lay with the women that assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. Were these children not born into a spiritual environment? Was their father not a priest? Were they not allowed to partake in the things of God? Were they not given the rightful respect that come with being the children to the priest?

I had the privilege of being a children’s teacher in a local church for 12 years. I noticed that some children after they had performed in the things of God so brilliantly and intelligently failed to practise those things I thought them and many grew to be outright defiant I saw many become ‘jon steingard’. And many concerned parents would come and asked questions. Later in my desire and quest with prayers, I realised that all men must come through a personal surrender to christ, an encounter that changes who we are and allow the spirit of God to take control. A confession and acceptance of the holy spirit according to Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. This answers all the question in our minds, without Him in our lives we can do nothing or carry on with the christian way we will faith and burn out like poor Jon we will Say I have no pleasure in this.

The prodigal son grew in the same house with the first son, yet what went wrong? He got the same love and care. He took all for granted, and it is therefore necessary for him to find out for himself that it is not greener outside, that he must be grateful and happy that he belongs to such a wonderful and gracious father. This experience made him realise a lot and how ungrateful he has been to his loving father, but remembering the love, care was enough to lead him home. Ours is to bring them up in the fear of God, to discipline them, rebuke them when they err, but we can not force them to receive christ We all are free moral agents and must serve God on our own volition.

We may stand before a large audience strumming the guitar to their delight, yet we are born again.

we may lead the worship to the streaming down of tears of many, yet we are not born again.

we may know all verses before our sixth birthday and thrill parents in the church, yet we still need to be born again.

There are many in the church today whose talents and presence lift the church yet are not born again; that is why we have an intercessory group, that is why prayers must continue without becoming discouraged.

ENTER HIS REST

Hebrews 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

Hebrews 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

To all the people of faith in God and those who desire to become one, there is a promise from God to usward. And this promise becomes part of our heritage when we surrender to the leadership of the Holy spirit. Being led by the holy spirit is an integral part of a christian walk with God. see Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. It is the obedience to God through the leadership of the holy spirit that ultimately puts the christian in the part of redemption. God sees all of us like his beloved sheep and his purpose is to be our shepherd, but of us who profess to be christian finds it difficult to allow this shepherd, God, to have his way in all we do. The reason for redemption is to separate us from the world and make us distinct, even though we are still in the world. As good sheep we are docile; this is a quality expected of a sheep; a sheep that is stubborn gets the shepherd’s rod. This rod put the sheep back on line, which is a way of protection against the wolves.

Another quality of a good sheep is it can recognize His Master’s Voice, see John 10:3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name and leadeth them out. We live in a world with many voices seeking to advise us, comfort us or just be there for us in time of need, but not all these voices can meet our spiritual and emotional needs. Some of these advisers takes us through the wrong path to our regrets. Such has ruined many marriages today. How many only wanted just a ‘puff’, of the stuff only to get hooked and are now certified addicts.. Galatians 5:9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

The same way God took the children of Israel out of the land of bondage in Egypt with a purpose to God too has a purpose for all Christians today. This is to redeem us from every shackle that hinders us from achieving God’s purpose in our lives. No one is born by accident even though you may not have been love after birth, or have been you up through adoption but there is a purpose for your life otherwise you would not have been born or survive the months of pregnancy.

There is a place in this world that God wants you to occupy through making your presence felt through your little contributions. No one is useless, for that is what the enemy will have you believed. The promised land was not in heaven, but here on earth. This land is the Pasteur. Read Psalms 100:3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture! It behooves us, therefore, to allow the holy spirit to lead us for in that way we can enter this Pasteur. Read Psalms 23:2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. There is always a leading before we get to the green Pasteur. Sad enough, many professed Christians do not even know this Pasteur many do not know the place of obedience in our walk with God. making declarations of Faith: [I Am a child of God and God loves me, I receive him I Am saved, I’m above and not beneath…] without a life of allowing the Spirit to lead you will not take you to this place.

This is a rest for the Christian, but there is a clause…Isaiah 1:19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.

A true christian puts God first in all things and looking to him for direction via his word, the bible and the Holy spirit. It is the measure of the knowledge of God that will determine how much we allow ourselves to be lead. Read Matthew 4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

we hinder Blessings our willingness spiritual and temporal if we do not live in obedience.

MARANATHA!

THE CHURCH VISA-VIS THE LOCKDOWN

Acts 2:42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Acts 11:26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that an entire year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were first called Christians first in Antioch.

When on December 31, 2019 Wuhan municipal health commission in china issued the first public announcement of 27 cases of an unfamiliar pneumonia, no country seems to have taken the warning. When WHO went further to announced that there is no evidence of human to human transmission of the virus on january14 most world leaders forgot about the pandemic and many leaders made a political joke out of the announcement As for today, May 19, 2020 the world has lost four million seven hundred and thirty thousands nine hundred and sixty-eight lives [4,730,968] to this monster .Yet, the world seems to be ready to move on despite this alarming death toll. Among the institutions willing to move on is the church; Initially, those ministries who defy the lockdown and held services were promptly arrested by the security agents.

Without the gathering together of the christian faith it is incorrect to define that as a church; you just can not have a church without singing, praising, praying, all done in the spirit of oneness and harmony. Therefore, no matter the role technological and other information gadget may play, without this traditional way of meeting, there is the absence of communion and fellowship which is the core of the christian faith. The church can not run along with the world, it is a thin balancing act for the church obeying rules and obeying the word of God as taught us by faith. If faith heals us, why not stay the path of faith in this pandemic, if we have been healed by the sacrifice made by Jesus and via his stripes by the stripe of christ [1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.] why not show it now, we are moved by the word of God, why not show the world where our faith and allegiance lies? Though the church is in the world; its place and purpose is to give direction to those in authority, pray and intercedes for the nation. It is also in the church’s way to lift leaders, rulers and kings unto God for wisdom and guidance. see 1 Timothy 2:1-2 I exhort therefore, that, first, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.[kjv]

There is no gainsaying the obvious that corporate power of the church can only be experienced when there is a gathering or assembly of the people of faith. See Leviticus 26:8 And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword. It is in this background that the clergymen supporting that the church doors be kept open rest their argument. But sadly, not all men have the same measure of faith. The same bible reveals the individual and not a mass experience can only practice that divine healing, though part of the christian faith. The christian faith that brings divine healing is only by the individual belief in that healing. There is no place in the new testament where Jesus healed anyone who did not come to him [by faith way in his ability to cure them of diseases and heald them of infirmities.] The bible makes it clear in the book of Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him [kjv]. The parishioner must not be cajoled to come to church, or be discouraged from coming by the pastor; let us allow the individual to make his choice, but we should keep the church doors open for anyone who wants to come in for prayers. The common ground should be that we must observe healthy protocols. We must prepare the church who wants to remain open to provide hand sanitizers ,before going inside the hall, social distancing must be adhered to, face mask must be use by all except the clergyman.

Many are recovering from Covid-19, who knows if this is a question of their faith? For now, the medical world and scientists have not found a definite way forward as we have discovered no vaccine, the recovering is because the human immunity has fought this virus mostly in healthy people. This is in line with the christian belief that tells us in the book of Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you. [kjv]

Recently, some countries have taken the bold step to reopen their countries in the face of dwindling economy and other financial woes brought about by the lockdown. The irony is that this move have received applause from the people yet; we have found no vaccine. There comes a time we go out to face our demons and this may well be that time; staying indoors, waiting for the worse to happen will not bring about the vaccine or the recovering for sufferers let us show our faith in our God by encouraging one another while keeping social distancing. The world will overcome this as it did other viruses before now. Let us go about doing good, distributing to the needy and helping those who are too weak. Let us keep praying for health workers all over the world.

We shall overcome.

ON THE FLIPPED SIDE

Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

This pandemic no doubt, has rendered hitherto bustling cities to take a turn for the worse- looking like ghost towns. The other day, i was aghast to see some big cats in a popular zoon sleeping peacefully in a tar road in broad daylight, minding their own business without a care in the world and conjecturing what on earth has happened to the four footed beasts with the loud noise housing normally some good predators known as man, usually trailing these roads by this time, gaping at them from their secured enclaves. The thing about this is that these animals are not the only one doing the wondering. Men are not far behind. Okay, who on this earth would have harbored it in their figment of imagination that there shall come a time when the whole world shall unanimously speak in one voice : stay home and do the lockdown? who would have thought in this era of technology and medical breakthroughs and disease control that one virus will have the temerity to rise up like a thief in the night and make the human race scurry into hiding? It came while some make a joke of it and others saw it as a political gimmicks by the opposition, it started to take its toll: countries after countries were counting their dead on a daily basis in their thousands. As the world ran helter skelter, looking for a panacea, the dead kept rising and our morgues had no space for them .While virologists and others seek out a vicine, hopefully this will soon be, therefore, let us not give up, the universe is yet to end; this may well be just the beginning, but certainly not the end. Let us lift us our eyes to see the better days ahead, let us not forget that despite these horrible death from covid-19 those who recover from it are more than those who had “kicked the bucket”. Many heads are bowed, but it is time to lift up those heads, it is time to speak positively and to believe that this pandemic shall pass away like every other catastrophe. we read in the book of Psalms 121:1,I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. Let us look towards God for solution .God can inspire men with great ideas that will led to an effective vicine. the bible says in the book of Job 32:8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

So let us go over the flip side of this pandemic; for there has been some positive things out of it all:

1 The lockdowns from Cape to cairo, Manila to malta, has given the time to those who have children and wards, to build closer bonds with them. Many with family living under the same roof, but far apart in mind and plans, due to tight schedule have suddenly become attached again to one another. our workload and conscientious attitude did not allow us before this time . This compulsory lockdowns has turned that around, we are once again, seeing the beauty and joy in belonging to a family or having one: the different personality of the kids are all on display for us to commend and to correct. A friend of mine will never touch a video game with a 5 ft pole , but the kids have made him embrace these games now and hr goes with them for hours without a break!

2 Husbands and wives have found each other once again, like they were in courtship and engagement once again, thes lockdowns has away of rekindling old flames and love songs in our homes!

3 Morning fellowship have taking on a new meaning. Before now it is done with one eye constantly on the clock while we say ‘Amen’, to prayers and request. quality time has been added questions from the kids are patiently answered.

4 Those putting offs “calls” to parents, friends, and benefactors can do it possible. we can laugh over the phones without even a glance at our agendas.

5 we can also take time off to scrub those nooks and crannies that needs some attention in our homes especially, kitchens. There has never been a better time to make the house look spick and span than NOW, i tell you.

6 Stroll towards the book shelf and pull out those books you bought, but no time to read. Take time to absorb the knowledge and blessing therein. how about those christian messages on tapes by our pastor[s] or favorite man of God? absorb the blessing in these tapes.

7 ‘Genesis 24:63 And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming. The keyword here is meditate. since how long have you done this? remember silence and wilderness is where great ideas are fashioned not market squares.

Though the world is going through mourning and you may have lost a loved one, but do not lose heart, do not be dismayed for it is well

Will be seeing you.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus your own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
