When we come to God, all our experiences are spiritual. The first is the forgiveness of our sins and trespasses; Whether we are the worst person alive or considered as the best person, Professed Christians need forgiveness. For indeed, the sin that condemns us before God is not just our own, but the sin that is inherited. Therefore, it is imperative for us to confess and own up to the fact that our goodness is nothing before God. See Mark 2:17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. The newcomer must appreciate the fact that our main aim of coming to God is not for him to make us financially well off because we pay our tithe like some would want to preach, but that He has saved us from the eternal damnation that the Devil wants us to experience. Another thing we must appreciate is that generational curses that manifest in our lives in as poverty, diseases, rejection, fear, lust, idolatry, rebellion, fear, retrogression, seasonal failure, destruction and death. These broken curses are not because of your prayers and fastings, but through his love for you because you now live in Him. It behooves us as saved children to appreciate spiritual things and not go for immediate gratifications, for God, being a spiritual entity, will start off your new life with spiritual gifts and experiences. The spiritual journey continues with you being admitted into a spiritual family called holy nation and you are regarded royal priesthood. Read 1 Peter 2:9, But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light
Acts 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
“Having a swimming pool without fencing in a compound where we have tiny tots that are hyper and want to play in the water, like they sometimes do, with daddy could spell disaster.” [Godwin Guobadia]
Here is a Tabloid’s way of writing about the incident that took a way the little boy of David Adeleke, the Nigerian celebrity also known as Davido:
“On 20 October, when Davido and his wife, Chioma, marked the third birthday of Ifeanyi Adeleke, their son, Davido made a simple request to God.
In a prayer he shared on Instagram, he asked God to allow the boy to grow greater than he is.
“I pray with all my heart that God grants you perfect health and pure happiness for as long as humanly possible. You will grow to be greater than me, Happy birthday, son @davidifeanyiadeleke!”, the singer wrote.
But just 10 days after, God had a different idea. He took the boy away by drowning, causing anguish for the inconsolable parents, friends, and relations.
Ifeanyi’s death brought back the memory of a similar tragic accident, death by accidental drowning of Dbanj’s one-year-old son.
The incident happened in Dbanj’s Lagos home in June 2018.”
DID GOD DISSAPONITED HIM?
The Bible, introduces God to us all [for faith comes by hearing] Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”. No one knew God without knowledge of the Bible, what our fathers of faith has pass unto us, and what we see with our eyes, as witness to his existence. In this same bible, we have read of the death of children too, the same bible that tells of the omnipotence of God. This said publisher sees it as God’s disappointing. This man behind the tabloid in an attempt to sell his atheism, says God has disappointed Davido, but how about we saying Davido disappointed God? Here is the take of the universe. To know a great man you must understudy him and do all you can to know his mind towards matters and why he did some things. If we do not attempt this task, we have failed to know this man truly and whatever we say concerning him is false and just our own way to rubbish or make him look bad with his powers. Hear what apostle paul says of Christians in the book of 1 Corinthians 2:16, “For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.” If we, therefore,do not seek to know God, we can not say accurately why some things happens of befalls us as we sojourn on this earth, or take pleasure in mocking those who profess faith in this God. By the way, the journey to know God is unending, for God’s way is too high for us to fully grasp or understand. Apostle paul says of christ: Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death. There is a law that God himself does not break. He commands man to have dominion and subdue the earth. Therefore, we must be careful what we do with the universe; it is left to us to make it habitable or not. But he put into the universe all that is needed to make it more beautify and enjoyable if we do the right thing. For example, God made the earth to reproduce seed put into it., but we can also decide to put in mines to blow up those we hate. Therefore, whatever man does to the earth is left to man. Another law is that of parenting. The children whom God has given to us. The bible says in the book of Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Note the bible says the way he should go, but that way is what we think is the right way; we influence cajole, teach, train correct to get him in this “way”, Psalms 127:3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. God does not intervene in the way you want to raise your children, but gave you your responsibility to bring them up in His way. so too, it is our responsibility to protect, care for them.1 Samuel 1:3 And this man went up out of his city yearly to worship and to sacrifice unto the LORD of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the LORD, were there.1 Samuel 2:34 And this shall be a sign unto thee, that shall come upon thy two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas; in one day they shall die both of them. The above scriptures are a classic example of what God expects of us as parent; raise our children well. there are many others who suffer for failing to raise them well, that was thier responsibility. When David’s son raped his half sister, what did David do to discipline him? That is failing in his responsibility as a father. He failed and what followed was blood shed in his household!. because these children are God’s heritage. In this responsibility, we set the rules, raise borders, and guide them while they are toddlers; we watch thier growth. Are they a restless type? then we know where to place the TV set, we know whether that door should have a lock and if that stair case should have an automatic closing door. we know and do a lot of things. They may take away our comfort because that child is the restless type and must be protected. A couple who can afford to have the best of furniture in the house postponed that because the triplet whom God gave them are the hyper type. From thier observation, the middle one will slash the leather sofas in no time, followed by the senior, who always emulate the middle one. It is not every child that responds to our order; some need prodding and pushing. it is our responsibility to know the one we have. Having a swimming pool without fencing in a compound where we have tiny tots that are hyper and want to play in the water like they sometimes do with daddy could spell disaster.
At some point in life, we may look messy and our life haphazard, but that may be the little change we have to put up with in order to protect and make sure these little blighters are safe and sound.
The President, Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has slammed the police for killing the arrested prime suspect involved in the brutal attack on his convoy, a situation that led to the death of three police officers, two drivers and two others.
The PUNCH had reported that the cleric returned from a foreign trip and was heading for a destination in the state when the gunmen attacked his convoy along the Benin–Auchi Road, Edo State, around 5pm.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Chidi Nwabuzor, who confirmed the attack, said six persons, including policemen and Suleman’s drivers, were killed, adding that efforts were ongoing to locate the whereabouts of the cleric’s domestic worker.
“The attack is confirmed. Three policemen were murdered; two of his (Suleman’s) drivers were killed; one domestic female worker was killed and they are still searching for another female domestic worker.
“As we speak, Apostle Johnson Suleman is safe. One hoodlum was gunned down and one vehicle was recovered,” Nwabuzor said on Friday.
A 42 seconds video clip showing the corpse of the killed suspect in a vehicle had been trending online.
In the video clip, they heard a policeman describing the slain suspect as a kidnapper.
The policeman said, “One of the kidnappers that was caught today (Friday) while the DPO, CSP Ayodele Sulaiman, led the operation along Iyewe-Auchi Road, and after a gun battle, this one (suspect) was gunned down while others escaped with bullet wounds. Bush combing is ongoing.”
Reacting to the video, Suleman, in a tweet, condemned the killing of the suspect who was handed over to the police alive, alleging that it was an attempt to cover up traces that could lead to those behind the attack.
The cleric’s tweet read, “Lies…there weren’t kidnappers… He was caught and handed over and the police killed him immediately. Why? Why killing him on the spot? Who is trying to cover up traces?”
Also reacting, Suleman’s lawyer, Samuel Amune, while demanding a thorough investigation into the case, slammed the police for killing the suspect who was alive when the youths and the vigilante caught him and handed him over to the police.
He said, “As I speak with you now, I am with Apostle Suleman, and I am examining the vehicle in his compound. One of the boys was caught yesterday by vigilantes and he was handed over alive to the Auchi Police Division.
“But ironically, we don’t know what happened and the next thing we heard was that the police have shot him dead. I don’t know what the police would cook up later to be responsible for shooting him as the police station was not attacked by the youths.
“It was the youths in conjunction with the vigilante that arrested the boy and handed him over alive to the police. So, the only conspiracy theory that one can easily think of now is that was he (the policeman) acting under a superior order to have done what he has done?
“Was there any gang up or trace that they are trying to cover up? These are some of the theories God will help us unravel as time progresses. The police have not given us any official reason for shooting him dead.”
In a follow-up reaction, Nwabuzor described the insinuation that the suspect was handed over to the police alive and he was shot dead by a policeman as an attempt to malign the efforts of the policemen during the attack.
He said, “That insinuation is just an attempt to malign the DPO in charge of Auchi. That is an attempt to dent all the work that they have done. During the attack, nobody knew anybody, and the police were there to prevent any form of attack on anybody.
“The police have a job to protect life and property; it is their constitutional duty. The action of the police was impromptu, the action was going on when the police attended to the distress call and right there at the scene of the crime, everything took place.
“I never heard of any information that the suspect was handed over to the police. Let them (those who apprehended the suspect) come out and make clarification for that. That is not true, it is just hearsay; if anyone has a contrary opinion on that, let them come out and tell the world.”
Reverend Stephen Adegbite,The chairperson of the Lagos State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has said, “God will punish us if we don’t support Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. I have told our friends from the North that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is our candidate and we’re going to support him. Nobody can tell us not to support Bola Ahmed Tinubu because he has done more than enough to support the Body of Christ in the Southwest.” The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN is the biggest christian association in Nigeria to the over 90 million worshippers.
The Lagos CAN Chairman spoke in Lagos on Sunday, 16 October, 2022 during the presentation of the stewardship report of 12 years’ sojourn in the Senate presented by the Senator representing Lagos Central Senatorial District in the Upper Legislative Chamber, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, OON.
Reeling out the support Tinubu has done for Christians, Reverend Adegbite stated the APC flag-bearer started a fund to sponsor Christians to Jerusalem and up till today the fund is still there and Christians are benefitting.
“We’re still going this year and we will pray for him,” he said.
He stated Tinubu has through provision of funds saved children of many Ministers of God noting a particular case of one he personally carried dying but through Tinubu’s support was saved and alive today.
“Don’t also forget that it was Tinubu who returned schools to the owners when he was governor. There are more, and we will support him,” he vowed.
We believe some of the most fascinating sites in biblical history to be in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including Mount Sinai, where Moses heard from God.
Today, the area deep in the northwest corner of the Saudi desert is more populated by camels than people, but if Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has his way, this area rich in biblical history could soon to be lost to a major development project.
The heir to the Saudi throne recently announced the region as the site of his new $500 billion megacity, which might one day house up to nine million people and re-think everything about how people live, work, and play.
They touted the project as the most modern, forward-thinking and climate-friendly city in the world, but few people are aware of the deep biblical history of the area. Those who are aware wonder if the planned mega-project will help or harm the historic value of the region.
Andrew Jones has been studying biblical archaeology for more than a decade. CBN News followed him on a week-long adventure to some fascinating Biblical sites – places almost everyone has read about but few ever get to see.
He believes Mount Sinai is actually in Saudi Arabia, very close to the proposed site of their new mega-city.
“The biggest issue is that Moses, when he was taking care of Jethro’s flocks, and he had fled Egypt, and lived in the land of Midian,” Jones said. “The land of Midian is in the north of Saudi Arabia. There is no archaeological evidence for Midian in the Sinai peninsula. And it was on one of those days when he was out with the flocks that it says he went to the Mountain of God. And in Exodus it says ‘he saw a burning bush on Mount Sinai’…So then you’ll realize that Mount Sinai is close to where Jethro lived.”
After their miraculous crossing of the Red Sea, the Israelites would have wandered in this desert and water would have been foremost on their minds.
The book of Exodus, chapter 15, says they came to an oasis called Elim, where there were 12 springs and 70 Palm trees. Those 12 springs are still there and at least one is still in use by the Bedouins in the area.
Jones is concerned that any construction project in the area could harm historical sites, such as a mountain range he says is described in the Bible.
“And so you’ll find, as you’re driving around the desert, these brand new roads that they’re putting in, and there’s a whole camp set up for the workers. So, it’s a multi-year project. We’re just hoping that they don’t… not just ruin the view, but destroy anything of biblical significance out there,” he said.
Jones also offers evidence that a huge mountain with a peak that appears to be burned is actually Mount Sinai.
“The evidence is all around us that this is the true Mount Sinai. Now, I know there are many proposed locations for the mountain of God, but this mountain here in the Land of Midian is the only one that matches all the biblical evidence for Mount Sinai, or the Mountain of God, or another name is Mount Horeb.”
A huge plain at the base of the mountain would have easily accommodated the Israelites and all their animals.
A large altar is centrally placed and covered with petroglyphs. Many of the images depict cows, an animal that in ancient times did not exist in the area, but they existed in Egypt.
Jones points to other evidence on hand.
“Ron Wyatt discovered these pieces of marble when he first came here in the mid-1980’s,” he said. “In 1985, he found an inscription in ancient Hebrew, the name Solomon, the Mountain of God, Moses. And so, he believed because of these keywords in Ancient Hebrew that King Solomon actually set up a marble shrine dedicated to the Mountain of God at the base of Mount Sinai.”
Jeremiah 7:11 Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the LORD.
Matthew 21:13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
The church of Christ, the post resurrection church functioned with a full mandate and knowing from the onset, their task. this they face without blinking or distraction; they never wavered nor stop from these task. the act of the apostles is replete with their experiences in the hands of fellowmen and roman soldiers and the roman government. Tortured beaten, chained, imprisoned with hands and feet bound in stocks, but any time of respite they stood their ground and refused to renounce their faith and their confession of the lord Jesus as savior. See this example in Acts 4:10;Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. To say that today’s church is resting on its laurel is saying the obvious. evangelism which is telling others about the good news is been relegated to the backburner in place of activities to entertain our canal desires o. Evangelism the supreme task of the church is no-longer part of the church mission. instead crusades which at the end the offerings matters more than the follow-ups. many go to evangelism today just to witness the pomp and the royal ovation such men of God are given. Let us go back to the old-time religion like they say: Tell others about the God of love, how His son came to rescue man from the hold of the Devil and give us life eternal if only we believe and confess. Acts 16:29-31 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. A typical church of today is where the women’s leader also sell her wares to her group members, where gossiping is rife, where fight with the ushers is common. where messages are applauded because it meets their ego needs and demand their perceived enemies. Evangelism, Holiness Love and forgiveness hardly attracted an approval nod let alone an applause. the man of God is forced to judge reach of his message based on their approval not what the Spirit led him to preach. The church of God today must know that evangelism or soul winning is not a gift, but a task carried out by all who are saved. The ultimate goal of a believer is not to get a position in the church and others are under you, but to go out and tell theirs about what the Lord has accomplish in his/her life, too. Peace, forgiveness, joy longsuffering, contentment, love for others and exerting faith and being prayer full. Not until this is observed the words of our savior in the opening line will continue to be experience in todays churches. Soon will shall have who do not go to church because what they observed in the church does not meet the demands of the lord and when they speak they are chided or called names. This when pastors spiritually feel the pause of the church and know where they are lacking. Revelation 3:15-16 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. That is the Spirit addressing a church, but what if the Spirit of God is not in a church? God help us.
The controversial leader of the sect, known as ‘the brotherhood of the cross and star, ” popularly called Olunba Olunba, has lashed out at politicians without mentioning names.
Speaking during a press briefing at the international headquarters of his Organization in Calabar, Olumba Olumba stated it will no longer be business as usual in Nigeria as 2023 election will shock “powerful” politicians.
According to thr cleric, corrupt politicians will no longer win elections in the country.
He said: “One thing is certain, no corrupt politician will be close to the Presidential staff of office.
“Only those with the fear of God, pure in heart and of a humble spirit, will win. A God fearing leader will emerge and lead in the fear of God and humility.
“Corrupt leaders will only waste their time in this election as the door has been shut against them.
“The forthcoming 2023 election will be very crucial to the world and for Nigeria as a nation.”
The Brotherhood leader called on Nigeria to return to her first National Anthem and also revert to Calabar as its capital and return to the 12-States administrative structure which has been preordained by God Almighty.
He said: “The 2023 General Election will produce the most shocking development in Nigeria. Many will be taken aback by the 2023 election because something that has never happened in the history of Nigeria will happen, and it will shake the so called powerful politicians of Nigeria.”
Olumba Olumba called for unity and cautioned against fear, saying Nigerians should not allow the election to stir up conflicts amongst them because it has already chosen Nigeria’s next president.
“The Holy Spirit is already in charge of the next year’s election because at the end it shall be in tandem with God’s will.
“The 2023 election will not be business as usual, neither will it be about the usual electioneering practices, replete with malpractices, vote buying, corruption and rigging,” he said.
Jonah 3:1-4 And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying, Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee. So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days’ journey. And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.
I have tried one way or the other to present God in this forum with my small understanding and leave the rest to the ability of the holy spirit to grow the little seed i have planted; for indeed, who can explain God to a mere mortal save the Spirit? Like every other experience, we develop our belief, faith and trust based on how we understand or interpret what they have taught us to us. If we perceive it as kind, we shall thenceforth continue with that perception. A messenger’s ability to deliver the errand as the master intended makes him a good messenger; reliable and sought for, to deliver important messages. Conversely, a messenger who fails in this ability is regarded as not a worthy one. Holy book put is this way:Proverbs 13:17 A wicked messenger falleth into mischief: but a faithful ambassador is health. [KJV.] The apostle paul sees himself bound as an ambassador to what? to this wonderful message he is mandated to preach Ephesians 6:20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
In the opening test, the messenger did not leave any room for a way out, but an inevitable destruction for the inhabitant of the city. Human flaws playing out its Adamic nature; for there is no true love for another if not given to us by the gift of the holy spirit. For God is love.
Our Lord and saviour showed this God to us and how HE sees us, and HIS desire in our lives. Jesus said it all here. This is the sum and substance of the Gospel:
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Any knowledge of God outside this is false. Those who attempt to study God,Tell others about God must take thier clue from here. I stop here, nothing to add.
1 John 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him., KJV.
That David wept when he heard they slew Absalom does not negate the fact that Absalom deserves that horrible end. But when you have it, you have it Good heart that part of God your maker deposited in you, that love that led to your you being created. It was that love that kept Joseph quiet when he heard found out that Mary was pregnant before she met her; the law says what to do with such a woman, but not joseph. He decided to put her away privily.
Yet none of these shows of true love quite compare to the one the creator has for us, his creature. HE is the embodiment of love the very personification; The bible says God is love, not like love but love. The personification of love. Any genuine love shown by any human is a little breath that God almighty gave man in creation, just showing forth. A true description of God is a true description of love. Yet, if we do not know this God, we can not display genuine love. If this is so therefore, if you want to tell others about God you can not, but flow in this love, because this love is perfected in you. 1 John 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. The knowledge about God and its mission to his creation is called the gospel, and the gospel means good news.
The best description of Who God is is given to us by His son who died for us: John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Nothing beats this, nothing overtakes this description, no other one. Every other attempt falls short. Thank you Jesus .Romans 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost, which is given unto us.
No one, a pastor, preacher of the gospel, prophet, evangelist, a Sunday school teacher, theologian or an apologist, should tell others about God without HIs love for humankind; for that will be a bad messenger. In the same breath, no parents nor school teacher nor counsellor, or therapist should talk about God if not in His eternal love for humankind.
So the question of why does your God sent people to hell fire is wrongly framed, and a wrong information about God.
Hear this again from our saviour,’ If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?’ (Matthew 7:11)
When one Ifidayo [aka] Daddy freeze was going overboard, with insult on the persons and positions some of Nigerias’s foremost evangelists
DR.Paul Enenchie and REV. David Ibiyeomie came down hard on hm. challenging him to name any spheres of life. He had excelled more that the pastor Adeloye and Bishop Oyedepo, whom he takes delight in calling out and pouring out venoms on his social platform. After that counter attack ‘FREEZE”, gave them respite. One Nigeria professor at Carnegie Mellon University, Uju Anya, gave out a fowl tweet over the death of Her royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth: a gutter language, unworthy of a professor. Her foul mouth was so repulsive that people like Jeff Bezos had to wonder aloud if that is a traditional teacher whose main goal is to teach courtesy, culture and finesse in our depraved society. It is an irony that she has to be among the very depraved, mannerless and uncouth. Her school and the Nigeria foreign commission quickly distance themselves from such callous and shameful showing of a professor/Nigerian. In a statement put out on thier twitter handle, the school said:’ We do not condone the offensive and objectionable messages posted by Uju Anya today on her personal social media account. It went further to say, ‘free expression is core to the mission of higher education. However, the views she shared absolutely do not represent the values of the institution nor the standards of discourse we seek to foster’,. Obviously, she found support amongst her peers, who now hailed her and replied to her with a shower of praise and encomiums. To those of us who abhor this horrible acts of this woman, if we say nothing, do nothing there will never be a change coming anytime soon. serving insolence on a plata and handing it out to others has become a way of life for many. If it has no demeaning and condemnable aura they are not in it, but it has to show effrontery, no one should and can not be brought down with thier platform knowing they have support nothing, absolutely nothing will happen, but the instant fame we got is worth it. Before now, many like myself and indeed the larger percentage of the reading society knew Anja; not her thesis, her academic contribution could break her into the society of the famed and famous, but now she can enjoy that without sweating.
Those who do research that Anja has a penchant and takes delight in insulting the dead have discovered it, who in thier lifetime had contributed one way or the other to the society. Before now, she posted a damning and shocking statement concerning one Prophet T B Joshua, founder of the synagogue of all nation, who had attracted even president to his church while he was alive; many witnessed healing and miracles under his ministry watched on the screen all over the world. She tweeted,
Commenting further on Joshua, Anya said he was a “monster” and she had no obligation to Joshua’s family to treat him with respect.
“For those coming with ‘don’t speak ill of the dead’ business, know where I stand on your tone policing nonsense. I don’t owe the family or people who loved TB Joshua my respect or silence about all the harm he caused. Just because they’re mourning a monster doesn’t mean I should,” she said.“I speak ill of the dead. If you made life choices that harmed people and caused destruction, I’ll praise your death. I don’t care if your family or people you didn’t choose to wound loved you and are sad you’re gone. I will dance on your grave singing ding dong the witch is dead.”
